What the Yod is going on?!

In addition to the current Mercury Retrograde, which is in my humble opinion, is no box of chocolate cupcakes, we are currently experiencing another important, albeit less talked about transit. Restrictive Saturn in Virgo is in conjunction to the Nodal Axis; the North Node in Pisces and South Node in Virgo. This conjunction began Monday October 15th and stays with through the Full Moon in Taurus on Friday October 26th.
Saturn is already conjunct Venus in Virgo, making some of us feel a little out of step. We may feel more comfortable isolating than socializing for the next week or so. It’s important to give our lovers plenty of space if they seem testy, and to request alone time, when we need it. 
The Venus-Saturn conjunction also conjuncts the South Node in Virgo, when this happens it forms a “Yod” with Mars in Cancer and Chiron in Aquarius.
In Astrology, a “Yod” is also referred to as the Finger of Fate. It is comprised of two planets in sextile (that’s 60°) aspect to each other, each making a 150° aspect focusing their combined energy on the same planet. Saturn is pragmatic, Mars represents action, Cancer brings compassion, and the wounded healer Chiron provides alternatives. The fire of Mars combines with the psychic ability of Cancer, connecting with the Cardinal power of Saturn to make this Finger of Fate feel like a laser pointed at Chiron propelling us toward compassion and healing in our personal lives and our greater community. Yod is the Hebrew meaning "blessed" and is said to have a kind of fate about it.
