What Do YOU Want For The Holidays? - Part 2
Welcome back to Part 2 of Psychic Source's look at What Do YOU Want For The Holidays!
To remind you, recently we took a poll and asked the employees in front
of and behind the scenes at Psychic Source a simple question: “What Do YOU Want For The Holidays”. Today I am sharing the remainder of the responses and once again will let the replies speak for themselves. Like before, you will see a mix of the seriously thoughtful to the seriously funny, but that is what makes Psychic Source such a unique place to work.
Bethany – Psychic - extension x7823. Nothing would make me happier than a White Christmas in my Southern Californian town.
Frank M. – Call Center Lead Agent. I would like Peace and Good Will throughout the world. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends plus with my daughter and her husband flying in from Ireland for the holidays. It will be great with my entire family together!
Beau – Psychic - extension x7839. All I want for Christmas is to win the lottery!!! See I don’t ask for much...lol!
Catie – Production Coordinator. I’m asking for boring, practical thing. Nail polish remover, hair clips, gift certificate to the grocery store, gym clothes. When did I get old?
Emrys - Psychic - extension x7565. As a Geminian artist, I am always exploring new techniques in the arts and have developed a profound love for working with metal. My wish for myself would be to have a working foundry so I could spend more time creating fine art pieces in precious metals and stones.
Lauren - Service Delivery Coordinator. Well, if I could have one wish of what I want for the holiday it would be peace and awareness in Africa but if I had to be logical I would want a 20 thousand dollar shiny gold star from Kid Nation. My dog Roxy would also like me to let you know she would like a Paris Hilton dog bag so she can travel in style and look fabulous!
Gem - Psychic - extension x7843. This year I would love Dorothy's Ruby Red Slippers (The Wizard of Oz) and I would dance the night away. I'd also like some time alone with Santa's naughty/nice list so that I could have some fun with my friends :-) Santa, there's extra cookies in it for you if you can help me with that last request!
Neil B. - Business/Marketing Analyst. Our two wars end, we don’t start a third war with Iran, and everybody with the power to seek peaceful solutions to conflicts does so. Is that asking for too much?
Narnia – Psychic - extension x7735. I would like to receive books about world mythology. I especially love books with images of gods and goddesses from around the world. I love to read and art, mythology and archeology are some of my favorite subjects. So really any books about any combination of those topics are what I hope to receive from friends and family this year. I also love to write in journals. I collect blank journals and pens every chance I get, so I always hope to receive those at the holidays too. There is one other thing I always love to receive at this time of year. That is socks. I love bright colorful socks and funny socks. Any type of sock is welcome, as long as I don't have to wear plain white socks. Too boring!
And from your blog writing crew…
Stephanie – Marketing Specialist. Other than for all war and violence to end, and a cure for Multiple Sclerosis to heal my sister, I’d like a $500 home depot gift card to finish the construction work in my living room and an IPod Nano.
Jeni - Service Operations Director. I want to meet Mickey Mouse!!!!! (Editor's Note - Jeni and her family are lucky enough to be spending the holidays this year at Walt Disney World!)
Marc – Operations Coordinator. I want my best friend who is 9 months pregnant to have a very happy and healthy first son! I also want the TV writer’s strike to end so I can see what happens on all my favorite shows including Heroes, Desperate Housewives, and The Office. And I want lower gasoline prices. I never thought I’d be so happy to ONLY pay $3.09 a gallon! Sheesh!
And finally, there was a sentiment echoed by multiple Psychic Source employees.
Many people want to make time and volunteer to help someone else in need, not just during the holiday season but throughout the entire year. Something as simple as giving a few cans to a food drive, offering unwrapped presents to Toys for Tots, or donating a coat to a homeless shelter, really goes a long, long way. The holidays are always looked upon as a time to donate or volunteer but some people need our help throughout the year. Let’s try to be a better person every day of the year, and not take the little things in life for granted!
