Who Are Your Female Role Models? - Part 1

March is National Women's History Month and being that Psychic Source offers more than 120 gifted female readers to speak with we’d like to hear about your female role models. Who are the women who have helped shape and influence you?

We are witnessing amazing things at this moment in history. Women's accomplishments run the gamut: from our first possible Democratic Presidential Nominee, Hillary Clinton to IRL race car driver Danica Patrick who is giving the boys a run for their money on the racetrack. Women are making their mark everywhere they go. But you already knew that!   What I want to explore in this post is who your female heroines and role models are.  I have a number of them, so here are two who have influenced me uniquely.

One of our fabulous advisors is a role model of mine, Moira x7776. If you have yet to speak with Moira, I encourage you to do so as soon as possible. She is one of the most amazing women I have ever had the opportunity to meet.  Not only is she open, honest and compassionate, she really cares about who you are and where you are going. Also, she is my astrological heroine. Move over Liz Green and Susan Miller!  Astrology is a passion of mine. It is something I have been dabbling in since I was 8 years old.  In the handful of interactions I’ve had with Moira she has encouraged me to explore astrology and has given me incredible wisdom and guidance on what to read and study.  She has also offered incredible support to pursue my astrological passion.

Another amazing woman who is a heroine of mine is Shirley Chisholm. I never had the opportunity to meet her, but her story is inspiring. She was the first African American woman elected into Congress. In 1972, she was the first African American to be a candidate for a major political party. These feats alone are impressive, but it was her ability to cross party lines to gain the support to push for reform in areas of minimum wage, education and women’s rights that made her a true standout. Shirley Chisholm’s story is inspiring and hopeful for anyone who feels they do not have a voice.  Her life is a testament to truth and honoring yourself and others. This is the perfect recipe for making a difference in the world.

Who are your heroines?   Are there any superwomen who have influenced you?  We’d love to hear about it!  Please post your comments below.

Moira is the best! I've had readings with almost all of the advisors and I will only get readings with Moira now. She is just amazing.

My heroes are –

Oprah – she is just amazing and has enriched the lives of so many on a daily basis in extremely profound ways.

Mrs. Fields – entrepreneur and best cookie maker.

Nilda – my best gal pal and my hero of all things estrogen.

Lauren – Jeni – JoClare – just the very best women I have ever worked with, keeping the rhythm smooth and the work place humming.

As the yacht departed from the dock leaving Cass standing and wondering what happened watching his beloved Cecile float away the song “What’s love got to do with it?” came on! (All my children) I knew in that moment that Tina Turner was indeed the goddess of all music.  Only later on when the movie “What’s love got to do with it?” hit the big screen did I realize that Tina Turner practiced the same Buddhism that I do.  She is an inspiration to those who want to be independent – She is my hero in faith.
