We’re making some changes that will greatly improve your experience.  You can expect a streamlined service that has more Advisor information available, as well as features that will help you select your reader. You’ll have more control over your Psychic Source account including your online account at Psychic Source.com, with a wider range of information at your fingertips. And one of the biggest benefits is you’ll be able to choose your advisor based on their rate per minute, allowing you more reading options and flexibility.

Does that mean that some advisors will be more expensive than others?

I was thinking about something, it will be great to have a forum for the members so we can share our experiences.;)

Right now, all the advisors have the same rate per minute as we customers buy blocks of time and spend that time with whomever we choose.  It seems that the supposed "benefit" of seeing an advisor's rate per minute will only benefit the company and not the customer.  Sometimes, it's really hard to get through to my favorite advisors but the fact that I am trying to get through along with other customers sort of levels the playing field since the Call Back feature (which was wonderful) is long since gone.  My fear is that, not only will I be paying more to talk the same amount of time with my favorites, but I'll still be dialing and hoping to get through along with other customers.

I agree with Susan, the above poster,that it seems as though we may have to pay more for "favorites" or popular psychics than we pay now with the flat rate charge.  Hopefully this won't be the case.  I also think that it will be detrimental to some psychics who are newer because the majority of clients are looking for accuracy, not who has the cheapest rates.  People may avoid choosing these psychics because they may be afraid that they are less "qualified" than those who charge more, when that may not be the case.  I'm not sure of the rational behind this decision.  I know that some other competing sites are set up like this with different rates for different psychics, and I have always been reluctant to use them for that reason.  Psychic Source has always maintained a high standard of integrity, and has emphasized that all of the psychics go through a rigorous screening process.  It seems to me that by making the rates different, the company is negating what they claim to stand for - a uniform level of quality.  I, too think that bringing back the call back feature would do more to enhance the customer experience.  I am also curious as to why long time members are rarely sent discount offers any more.  I have used this site for years and I used to fairly regularly (every few months) receive 15- 20% discount codes.  Now I hardly ever receive them (not even on birthdays, which was always the case!), and when I do they are usually for 10%.  I know we all have to be a bit choosier about how we spend our money these days (the site included), but I personally know that I would call more frequently and purchase larger packages if I was "getting a deal" every now and then.

k......thank you for that input. I am sure you speak on behalf of most of us (customers). If I see that one psychic cost more in my mind, only being human she/he must be REALLY good. So that makes the others not look good at all. Plus nothing is 100% for a reading its entertainment sort of speak.So why increase the price? Its not like we can call and ask for a refund if I didnt get an accurate reading. I know there is this thing called free will. I look and compare prices and it just blows me away. Why so expensive? Dont get me wrong the psychics that I have spoke with if anything are  sooo nice and uplifting.

I agree with others who have commented... if one advisor costs more than another, then as a customer, I'm automatically going to assume that the advisor with the higher rate is more qualified, which, of course, isn't necessarily true at all.  This isn't a fair or well thought out strategy, in my opinion.  I, too stay away from other companies who use this strategy of charging different rates for different advisors.  It's unfair to many advisors and to customers.

I will be glad to have psychics cost different amounts.  Some psychics should cost less and some more, not every psychic is the same.  It sounds very American to me, some cars cost more than others.  Of course I hope that some psychics will cost less on psychic source, as long as some cost less then it will even out.  A few of my favorite psychics might be more but I have three psychics I get regular readings from that aren't usually busy.  Hopefully they will be less and then I can get a longer reading if I want.  I have been a customer for a long time and I don't believe they will change the readers they have, they seem to have a lot of integrity just really high prices on readers they shouldn't.

I agree with most so far.  Especially the lack of discounts now.  Almost everyone I speak to on the network has been worth it, but it is one of the most expensive lines in comparison with other companies.

The call back feature was very customer oriented and convenient.  The computer also told us how many bonus points we had too.  Why are these two not an option anymore ?  I would also be nice if the advisors could send us free minutes if we were regulars.  Some of us using this service spend ALOT of money and it is quite addictive, which helps the business on your end.  Although I am a happy consumer, I truly wish there would be more discounts for the reliable consumer.

At first I felt ok about the change but now I read this and I am not so sure because it seems like you are avoiding posting the prices which is what is making me nervous.  I know some psychics will cost more because they deserve more but I am wondering if anyone will have lower prices.  If there are lower proces too maybe it will be ok.  I wish you'd post the prices Mark because now I am confused.

It is great to read all of your comments about the upcoming changes and improvements to Psychic Source.  We really do learn a lot from you and benefit from your feedback.  The changes that we are making to Psychic Source are intended to improve your experience and make it easier for you to manage your account and your spending.  

From reading your comments, it’s clear that price is the primary question – as it should be in today’s economy, right.   We will be adjusting our rates as we mentioned in the original posting on this blog; charging different rates for advisors.  Initially, there will be three rates per minute; $2.95, $4.15 and $5.75.  The majority of our psychics will fall into the $2.95 and $4.15 rates.  In fact, just over 75% of our advisors will be $4.15 or under.  While the quality of the advisor is a big part of the consideration when determining the rate per minute, it is not the only factor.  The ability to vary the price of our Psychics presents us with the opportunity to introduce you to qualified, authentic Advisors you may be more willing to try if the risk to your wallet is smaller.  All of our Advisors go through the same screening process; their skills are tested by our in-house staff, by some of our top advisors and by some of our customers.  Price will not always dictate quality – I assure you of that!

There are other great benefits coming with the changes.  Your PsychicSource.com account will have more features.  You can keep a list of your favorite Psychics, rate and leave feedback about your readings right from within your account.  You’ll also have a better view of your interactions with Psychic Source, including purchases and readings.

We are mailing a letter with more information in the next 10 days; we’ll also post that letter on PsychicSource.com.  We are also in the process of putting together a list of frequently asked questions so that we can give you the best information possible about the service enhancements.  

So – I’m sure you’re also asking when this is all happening.  That is a tougher question to answer because we want to be sure that everything is 100% (or really, really close) before we make the changes.  The best I can tell you right now is that we are targeting the first or second week of October.  We’ll be sure to get you the specific date as soon as we can.

I am concerned that the advisors I talk to on a normal basis that are excellent will be the most expensive, therefor cut into my wallet MORE.

Although I am glad for the advisor, because they certainly deserve it, I think they will lose some of their core customers because their rate may be higher and chase away the regulars because it got too costly.

I must say that I disagree with the statement made by Maryanne. "Price will not always dictate the quality".  I cannot purchase a Mercedes with a Honda price tag.

You are basically telling a caller that you will get what you pay for.  You are not giving all advisors a fair shot here. If I have to pay more to speak with one advisor than I do another, I am being told then that one is superior to the other. As one caller has stated in this comment section... "It is only human to think this way".  Can an advisor at a rate of $2.95 per minute compete with an advisor at $5.75 per minute.  Will your reading be of the same quality and if so then why the rate differences? There will always be the question mark.

Who then determines the rate per minute as per the advisor? Just the mere fact that there will be a rate difference means that there is a obvious difference with the quality of your reading.

I do also feel the price increase is a bit high.

Just my 2 cents.

I agree with Candian Caller 100%.  For me the ones I call are at the highest range.  They are worth it, of course, but for me I will be talking much less and spending less money.
