So You Wanna Be A Tree Hugger? - Part 2
Posted on May 07, 2008 01:02 PM by Stephanie

Back in April, we celebrated Earth Day.   This is the final part of our series – simple guidelines to help reduce our burden on the Earth.

This segment will help you discover ways you can reduce waste at your home office and at work.

  • Turn scrap paper into notepads.
  • Print and photocopy double-sided whenever possible.  Check your printer settings to see if you’re machines are compatible.
  • Avoid unnecessarily printing your documents: Retaining documents on your computer rather than in hard copy will save paper and you won’t have to deal with those pesky file folders!
  • Before you print a document, train yourself to always use the spell check and print preview functions of your word processing software.
  • Edit and add comments to documents on your computer, rather than by hand on a hard copy. Learn to use the Track Changes function available in MS Word to make your changes. Not only will this save paper; it will also save you time, because the changes only have to be made once rather than twice (first on paper, then in the computer file).
  • Avoid printing out emails you receive unless absolutely necessary.
  • Re-use envelopes for internal circulation.
  • Use re-usable items rather than disposable, e.g. automatic pencils or refillable pens.
  • If your company does not offer a recycling program, rather than pitching your plastics, glass or aluminum cans in the trash, take them home with you at night and toss them in your home recycling bins.
  • If you’re running errands at lunchtime, see if you can pick up lunch for someone else or ask them to come along.  Not only are you helping the environment, but you’re strengthening relationships with your co-workers.

Do you have suggestions on how to reduce our impression on the Earth?  We’d love to hear them!  Post them right here on our blog by using the link below to leave a comment.

Welcome Our Newest Psychic Advisors
Posted on May 01, 2008 02:10 PM by Marc

Psychic Source has been busy bringing you so many new psychics, I have fallen a little behind announcing them all. So to get a little caught up I am happy to present five of our new psychic advisors to join our ever expanding family. If you haven’t yet had a chance, give one of them a call for a psychic reading and you might just discover a new favorite!

Please share your feedback on our five new psychics below by posting a comment. We love to hear from you!

All times listed below are Eastern.

Staci x7879

Staci is a medium who can see, hear, and communicate with entities and spirits both human and animal. As a discerner, she can tell when a spirit is good or bad. In addition, Staci is a psychic who can see events before, during and after they happen. She does all this without the use of tools, but rather she just uses the energy she receives from your voice. She prides herself on always being honest and that you deserve to know everything she sees in a reading. She is very empathetic and tries to give you what you need to know and help you do whatever you need in order to make things better.

·         Tuesday - Saturday  5:00PM – 1:00AM

Catherine x7880

Catherine is a fourth generation psychic. Her grandmother Sadie was the 7th daughter of a 7th daughter who read tea leaves during World War II. Catherine does clairvoyant readings to connect you to the spiritual realms using cards, aura reading, psychic vision and channeling. She receives psychic imprints through your personality and voice. Her readings will inspire you, soothe you and expand your vision of what you can have, be or do at any time.

·         Monday - Friday 12:00PM – 2:00PM

Faith x7882

Faith can’t explain why, but people naturally gravitate towards her. She has noticed people often ask for her advice, even when they don’t know why. Perhaps it is because of Faith’s natural levels of compassion and empathy. Or maybe it’s due to her integrity and loyalty and how driven she is in all aspects of her life. Whatever the reason, Faith has been giving psychic readings for years now using her gifts of clairvoyance along with the Tarot and her spirit guides to help you in the areas of relationships and career, as well as lost people.

·         Monday 12:00PM – 6:00PM

·         Tuesday 12:00AM – 2:00AM

·         Friday 12:00AM – 2:00AM

·         Saturday 9:00PM – 12:00AM

A gifted medium, clairaudient, tarot reader, astrologist, and past life psychic, Kathi will help you seek the answers to the questions on your mind. She excels in working with lost items or people, relationships, dates and times, and future solutions to events in your life. Kathi is friendly, encouraging, helpful, spiritual, and optimistic… like a good friend!

·         Monday – Friday 4:00PM – 6:00PM

Jeannie x7884

Empathetic yet empowering. Honest and accurate. These are the words to describe a reading with Jeannie. Allow her to open her mind to accept things others may not. Inheriting the gift of clairvoyance from her grandmother, Jeannie can recall giving her first tarot reading as early as 3 years old. Today she continues to work with the tarot as well as runes and spirit guides to help guide you in areas of love, relationships, family and the future.

Psychic TV Talk - Medium

Being Psychic – In Real Life and On the Small Screen

by Maxine x7791

Being a psychic advisor, many of my callers ask me if I am just giving my opinion or is the information coming from a source?  In my readings, the information is always from a natural source that I tap into; never do I offer my opinion. However, writing for the Psychic Source blog allows me to step away from the ego-less realm of readings and share my opinion all I want on TV shows and movies with a psychic theme.

Today I am going to look at NBC’s hit show Medium. Now in its 4th season, the series airs Monday nights at 10:00PM Eastern and is easily one of my favorite shows. For those of you who haven’t seen it, the show focuses on Allison DuBois (played by the talented Patricia Arquette) as a strong-willed mother of three, a devoted wife, and law student who begins to suspect that she can talk to dead people, see the future in her dreams, and read people's thoughts. Fearing for her mental health, she turns for support to her husband who slowly comes to believe that what his wife is telling him just might be true. When I first started watching the show, I felt angry at Allison’s husband for being upset with the process by which she gets her knowledge. Her dreams or sometimes nightmares are the source of her solving crimes or resolving mysteries. It just happens to her and she has no control of what is going to turn up in slumber-land or in a state of meditation.

In my opinion she is very authentic. In the last few episodes Angelica Huston played a private eye who employed Allison but here again I found that her treatment of Allison was just wrong. I even asked my girlfriend (another psychic) about the issue of people having a lack of respect for Allison. After discussing it, we came to the conclusion that most people do not understand what it is to be a visionary psychic and expect the person with the gift to be able to just know things on the spot. It is in my opinion a process, in which by understanding our gifts we can help others to awaken to understanding themselves and those around them in an effort to solve issues and problems. Granted there are people in Allison’s life who adore her and understand her gifts making it easier to get the most out of her. I am curious to know what YOU think about the way she is treated by people who just do not get it?

If you enjoy Medium as much as I do, please check back often.  I’ll be sharing my opinion on future episodes.  See you soon!

Latest Update on Psychic Source Callback
Posted on April 24, 2008 02:49 PM by Marc

I've received quite a number of questions and comments asking about the status of the Psychic Source Call Back feature that we first introduced last year and had to remove earlier this year.  I was waiting to post until I had something official to say, but I have just learned that Psychic Source has decided not to re-release Call Back at this time.

After much discussion, we weighed this decision with feedback from our customers. The feedback was mixed with some customers loving it and others feeling challenged by it. Taking all comments into consideration, we elected to re-evaluate Call Back before releasing again. If this should change, we’ll keep you informed of its availability.

So You Wanna Be A Tree Hugger? - Part 1
Posted on April 21, 2008 09:07 AM by Stephanie

April 22nd is Earth Day. Environmental consciousness abounds. Earth Day is the perfect time to honor Mother Earth and explore ways in which we can keep her beautiful! Over the next two weeks, we will offer some easy to follow tips to get your home and work place green!

Being environmentally friendly is easy when you follow some very simple guidelines for greener living. Here are a few tips that will help you save money, keep your household happy, and lighten the load on the environment.

§  Do not leave faucets dripping; always close them tightly after use. (One drop wasted per second wastes 10,000 liters of water per year.)

§  Use environmentally friendly cleaning products whenever possible.   Here are a few sites that offer recipes for homemade cleaning products:

§  EHow.com Home Made Cleaning Products

§  EarthEasy.com Home Made, Non-Toxic Cleaning Solutions

§  Use low energy light bulbs, which last up to eight times longer than ordinary light bulbs and can also reduce energy costs.

§  Position furniture in your home to make best use of natural light.

§  Rather than use bottled water, purchase a water filter pitcher, such as one offered by Brita, or put a filter system on your tap.   The savings will astound you!  I haven’t purchased cases of bottled water in over a year!  Financially, I am saving about $30/month!  Environmentally, gone are my days of contributing hundreds of plastic bottles to trash heaps.

§  Reuse items such as plastic bags, jars and brown grocery bags.  I save Ziploc bags that I used to store items such as fruit or bread or crackers, etc.  I wash them with soap and hot water, and let them dry.  I keep them separate from the new bags, and use them for storing other items such as office supplies, nails and screws and other non food related goods.  Same goes for spaghetti sauce or jelly jars – you’d be amazed at what you can do with these items!

§  Switch off lights & machines when not in use.  The same can be said for items plugged in.  Do you keep your cell phone charger in the wall?  How about the toaster?  Are these items plugged in 24/7?  You would be surprised to learn that they are still using energy even if they are not in use.

§  This is the easiest of all…when you are not in a room, turn off the lights.  I realized that when I am home at night, I turn on just about every light in the house!   I became really conscious of this over the past year.  Now it is a habit - the lights go off when I leave the room.

Do you have suggestions on how to reduce our impression on the Earth?  We’d love to hear them!   Post them right here on our blog by using the link below to leave a comment.
